ECHR upholds the complaint of journalist against the authorities of Azerbaijan
On Thursday the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) admitted the violation of the rights of journalists and activists of the party "Musavat" Mustafa Hajibeyli, guaranteed by Article 3 (prohibition of torture) of the European Convention on Human Rights. Thus, the ECtHR ruled that Hajibeyli must pay compensation of 10.000 euro and 3.000 euros in respect of costs.
The complaint was filed because of the mistreatment the editor of "Democracy" newspaper during the protest action of the opposition April 2, 2011. Hajibeyli was arrested during the dispersal of the peaceful rally, and taken to Nasimi District Police Office of Baku, where he was subjected to inhuman treatment.-16D-

The United States and the European Union, which tried to position themselves as mediators in the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, have come up with nothing and merely copied Russia's ideas, distorting their essence in order to "hijack" the peace process for themselves. However, their true goal was to take control of the region, to insert themselves into it, and to push out Russia, as well as Iran and Türkiye, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated at a briefing on November 13.
