Embassy of the United States: direct air links will enhance bilateral cooperation
United States Embassy in Baku, expressing satisfaction at the opening of direct flights from Azerbaijan to the United States said that it will boost tourism and transportation, expansion of interpersonal exchange and friendship between the two countries.
Implementation of the first flight was the high point of many years of cooperation between the United States and Azerbaijan in this direction.
Trade and Development Agency United States funded a two stage technical assistance security of Azerbaijan, a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
As a result, the Civil Aviation Administration was able to more effectively carry out 8 important safety elements.
In March 2014, Azerbaijan, having successfully passed the assessment of international aviation security, got the first rank in the category of Security USA Federal Aviation Administration, which has allowed to open direct flights between the two countries.
The Government of the United States is committed to continue to work with Azerbaijan in the field of civil aviation and strengthen economic cooperation.
