Erdogan expresses support for Azerbaijan's efforts to achieve long-term peace with Armenia
Baku/28.05.22/Turan: Turkey supports Azerbaijan's efforts to establish long-term peace with Armenia, which will also contribute to ensuring stability in the region. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated this in Baku today.
The leaders of the two countries took part in the festival of space, aviation and technology "TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan".
“Turkey is next to Azerbaijan and in sorrow, in joy. We have brought bilateral relations with Azerbaijan to a level that is an example not only for the region, but for the world as a whole,” he said.
He stressed that "Ankara has always opposed the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia, has been on the side of justice."
“We do not make territorial claims to other countries of the world, but we also do not intend to cede and will not cede a single inch of our own land!” the Turkish president said.
He added that "Turkey strongly supports the efforts of the President of Azerbaijan to establish a long-term peace with Armenia, which will also contribute to ensuring stability in the region."
Aliyev, for his part, called the Turkish-Azerbaijani unity an important factor for the region and the world, a factor of security and stability.
“This is a very important factor both for the region and for the world. Turkish-Azerbaijani unity is a factor of security, trust and stability,” the President of Azerbaijan said.
In his opinion, the unity of Baku and Ankara will contribute to peace and stability in the region.

“Turkey was next to us. The Azerbaijani people will never forget this,” he said.
