Erdogan named the conditions for the normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia
Baku/26.10.21/Turan: The alliance between Azerbaijan and Turkey is an important factor not only regionally, but also globally. President Ilham Aliyev said this in a press statement after the end of talks with the Turkish President in Zangilan.
“Being here, we cannot but talk about the Zangezur corridor. Zangilan is located in eastern Zangezur. The Zangezur corridor, which runs from here, will unite the entire Turkic world. Azerbaijan and Turkey are taking practical steps to implement the Zangezur corridor and I am confident that these steps will yield results in the near future,” Aliyev said.
Turkey will continue to support fraternal Azerbaijan, in turn, Erdogan said. “Today, as never before, there is a favorable situation for sustainable peace in the region. To do this, it is necessary to act in accordance with the new realities in the region. The roads and railways that will pass through this region will serve not only Azerbaijan and Turkey. They will create good economic opportunities for all countries in the region ... All neighbors of Azerbaijan, including Iran, Georgia and Armenia, will be able to take advantage of this,” Erdogan said.
At the same time, he stressed "the need for delimitation and mutual recognition of borders." “This concept is the basis of good neighborliness. In these issues, there is a need for the sincere will of Armenia in relation to Azerbaijan. If Armenia shows sincere goodwill towards Azerbaijan, then there will be no obstacles to the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey,” Erdogan said. —06в-
