EU concerned about developments around Lachin corridor
Baku/14.12.22/Turan: The European Union is following developments in the Lachin corridor with concern. This is said in a statement by the spokesperson of the office of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
"The EU calls on the Azerbaijani authorities to ensure freedom and security of movement along the corridor in line with the Trilateral Statement of 9 November 2020. Restrictions on such freedom of movement cause considerable discomfort to the local population and raise humanitarian concerns. Other issues can and should be addressed through dialogue and consultation with the parties concerned," the statement further said.
The EU also called for restraint and expressed its readiness to contribute to the aforementioned efforts. -16D06-
