Baku/11.03.14/Turan : EU will publish a progress report on implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy , including Azerbaijan , in late March - early April. This was reported by the head of the EU Delegation in Baku, Malena Mard.
The report will assess progress in achieving the objectives of the ENP in the 16 countries participating in the program.
In the previous report in 2012, along with the positive aspects, were identified areas where there is a need to progress - rights and fundamental freedoms, the electoral processes , ensuring the independence of the justice system. -06D-

Journalist Nargiz Abaslamova, held in Baku's Detention Center No. 1, was subjected to violence by a guard. While passing by the cell of her colleague Sevinj Vagifgizi, Abaslamova tried to greet her, reported on Abzas Media's Facebook page. However, guard Aygul Babaeva forcibly dragged Abaslamova away and deeply scratched the journalist's arm. Abaslamova stated that this is not the first time the mentioned guard has used force and been rude to journalists. A few days ago, Babaeva also used force against Sevinj Vagifgizi.
