European Commissioner for Human Rights Arrived in Ismailly
The Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Nils Muzhnieks arrived in the town Ismailly.
He met with the Chief Executive Mirdamed Sadigov and regional reporter of Radio Liberty and the Azadlig paper Elchin Ismailly, as well as with the lawyers Islam Ismailov and Nava Abbasov.
Elchin Ismailly told Turan Muzhnieks was interested in details of the riots in Ismailly 23-24 January this year, the causes of this social explosion and the course of the investigation. He also inquired about the situation in other regions of the country as a whole, the state of the right of freedom of expression, assembly, and the press conditions.
