Baku / 04.09.20 / Turan: On 4 September the Sabail Court of Baku granted the petition of ex-Defense Minister Rahim Gaziyev to change the measure of restraint and release under house arrest.
According to his lawyer Elchin Sadigov, the measure of restraint was changed until November 13, Gaziev was released from the courtroom.
Gaziev was arrested on July 13 on charges of calling against the state and provocation (Articles 281 and 282 of the Criminal Code). He was accused of spreading false statements on social networks about the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, where there were active battles. However, he did not admit his guilt.
