Gaza in the focus of the Organization of Turkic States
Baku/03.11.23/Turan: Kazakh Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu stressed the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza, calling it the primary concern of Kazakh diplomacy. In a statement issued by Kazinform today, Minister Nurtleu expressed deep concern over the escalation of violence in Gaza. He stressed Kazakhstan's commitment to cooperate with the international community in calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities and called for the creation of humanitarian corridors to assist the besieged residents of Gaza.
Minister Nurtleu made a speech during a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States. He also stressed the significant economic problems and geopolitical instability currently faced by the countries within the scope of the organization's competence. In the light of these multifaceted challenges, the position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan on the situation in the Middle East is firmly based on the belief that peace negotiations are a necessary way forward for the conflicting parties.
The Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States gathered in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, on the eve of the 10th anniversary summit of the organization. The long-awaited summit, which took place in the capital of Kazakhstan, brought together the leaders of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Hungary and Turkmenistan. It is noteworthy that Hungary and Turkmenistan attended the summit as observer countries at the organization.
This high-level diplomatic event underlines the collective commitment of the Turkic States to solving pressing regional problems and finding peaceful solutions to ongoing conflicts, such as the situation in the Middle East.
