Georgia Change Ambassadors in 20 countries, Including Azerbaijan

 

Tbilisi/16.01.13/Turan-BS PRESS: Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili granted the appeal from the Foreign Minister, Maya Panjikidze, on exemption of a number of Georgis’ ambassadors abroad. 

In a letter to the Head of State, published on January 14, Panjikidze asked to dismiss up to 20 heads of diplomatic missions of Georgia.

They are Georgian ambassadors in: Ukraine - Grigol Katamadze, Latvia - Konstantin Korkelia, Czech Republic - Nino Nakashidze, Hungary - Zviad Chumburidze, Austria and the OSCE - Paata Gaprindashvili. In addition, the Foreign Minister offered Georgian ambassadors in the U.S. - Temur Yakobashvili, in Belgium and the EU - Salome Samadashvili, UK - George Badridze, Germany - Gabriela Hasburg-Lothringen, Bulgaria - Levan Metreveli, Lithuania - George Kerdikoshvili, Azerbaijan - Teimuraz Sharashenidze, Kazakhstan - David Mumladze, Turkey - Zurab Pataradze; in China - Mamuka Gamkrelidze, and the Permanent Representative of Georgia to the UN Alexander Lomaia, and Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe, Mamuka Zhgenti.
