GRECO delegation to assess fight against corruption in Azerbaijan
Baku/26.09.22/Turan: A delegation of the Council of Europe Group of States to Combat Corruption (GRECO) is visiting Azerbaijan on September 26-29 as part of the Fifth Round of Country Assessment.
The fifth round in particular covers the prevention of corruption in central executive bodies and law enforcement agencies.
Within three days, the delegation will meet with representatives of the relevant state institutions involved in the prevention of corruption. The program of the visit also includes meetings with representatives of civil society.
Following the visit, the delegation will prepare a report on the assessment of the fight against corruption in Azerbaijan.
In a previous report published in 2019, GRECO called on the Azerbaijani authorities to show their will and complete the anti-corruption reform related to the mandatory declaration of income and property by members of parliament, judges and prosecutors. --06D--
