Health of Leyla and Arif Yunus remains seriuos

Health of the human rights defenders Leyla and Arif  Yunus remains average serious, according to the family friend and physician Azad Isazadewhoc spoke  on  August 12 on the phone with Yunus.

"She suffers from chronic kidney disease, and Arif after these events suffered two hypertensive crisis.  According to Leyla,  they make her painkillers. She has medicines from diabetes, but they are running out. I hope that today or tomorrow I will  get permission to meet with Leila. I went to the prosecutor general's office, and promised resolve the issue," said Isazade.

Arif Yunus is kept in the detention center ofthe National Security Ministry. "According to his lawyers, he was under the supervision of doctors. Pressure is normal. The concern is that after hypertonic crisis twice he had mikroparalich  of his left hand," said Isazade. As friends of the family are not allowed to pass them handouts, there is no evidence that they are getting a diet food.  "If handouts is allowed, the matter will be resolved,"  said Isazade. However, for the normalization of the  health of spouses, they need peace and fresh air. "Leyla  is examed by  a female doctor. Red Cross doctors also examined her.
