Hikmet Mirzoev's meeting with the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces
Deputy Defense Minister of Azerbaijan and Commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel General Hikmet Mirzoyev, who is on an official visit to Turkey, met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, General Metin Gürak.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, both parties expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral military cooperation and discussed its contribution to regional security. During the meeting, there was an extensive exchange of views on the prospects for collaboration in military, military-technical, military-educational, and other areas, as well as on other topics of mutual interest.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani delegation met with the Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, Army General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, where issues of bilateral military cooperation were also discussed.
Azerbaijan and Turkey maintain close military ties, regularly conducting joint exercises and exchanges of experience, which contribute to strengthening security in the region.
