Ilham Aliyev Approves Agreement on Transit Cargo Transportation via the "North-South" International Transport Corridor
President Ilham Aliyev approved the Azerbaijani-Russian intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in transit cargo transportation along the "North-South" international transport corridor (ITC) on February 11, 2025. The agreement was signed on December 21, 2024, by the heads of the transport ministries of both countries.
The goal of the agreement, which defines the terms of cooperation for the development of railway infrastructure and transit transportation, is to enhance the efficiency of transport links and increase the potential of the western branch of the "North-South" corridor.
