Ilham Aliyev: Customs Union and Common Economic Space do not attract Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan does not see prospects in the Customs Union or the Common Economic Space of the CIS. As stated by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with Russia 24 TV.
"Here we do not see special benefits for ourselves. On the other hand, the economic situation of our country is quite stable. This is a sufficient amount of foreign exchange reserves, and economic diversification, and self-sufficiency to the full, rich deposits of natural resources, an extensive network of pipelines, geography, transport and logistics. That is, there is a good Russian saying: "Do not seek good from good." Therefore, if we see actually real prospects to make it better, then, of course, we will enter into any association, as we have no taboos in this area,” said Aliyev. --06D-
