Ilham Aliyev met Director of the FSB of Russia
Baku /18.12.20/ Turan: On December 18, the head of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, received Alexander Bortnikov, director of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia. According to the website of the head of state, the current situation in the region and the settlement of the Karabakh conflict were discussed at the meeting. It was noted that the trilateral statement on Karabakh is being implemented and the situation is the region is stable.
The parties also discussed issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in the field of security, the press service of the President of Azerbaijan said.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Security Service of Azerbaijan Ali Nagiyev.
Note that Bortnikov arrived to Baku from Yerevan, where he met with the leadership of Armenia. According to Armenian media, Yerevan asked Bortnikov to assist in the settlement of border problems with Azerbaijan.-0-

In response to a query by Voice of America regarding a report by the Turan news agency about an AZAL flight encountering radio interference and GPRS disruptions while flying over Astrakhan on January 1, the press service of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) issued a statement. The airline assured that the Baku-Kazan flight operated on schedule and adhered to international safety standards. However, the statement did not directly address claims of radio interference and GPRS issues.
