Ilham Aliyev Opens Mashtaga – Nardaran – Bilgah Road
With the participation of the President of Azerbaijan the opening ceremony of the road Mashtaga – Bilgah was held after long repair. Then, the road Bilgah - Nardaran was also opened after repair.
As the head of Azeravtoyol Saleh Mammadov said, the Mashtaga-Bilgah road connects the three villages with a population of 63,000 people. Its length is 9 km and before the repair the track width was only 7 meters. During the repair, the road was extended to 9.5 meters.
The launch of the road has provided easy access to the Maritime Ring Road and the Zabrat – Buzovna – Mashtaga route.
In addition, the road along the street Nasrullah Askerov in Nardaran, over a kilometer in length, has been widened from 6 to 16 meters. It leads to the Rahima Khanum Mosque (Nardaran sanctuary).

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. On February 5, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine. According to the document, the Ministry of Energy has been allocated 1 million US dollars to purchase and send electrical equipment, manufactured in Azerbaijan, to Ukraine.
