Ilham Aliyev Received Joseph Dunford
President Ilham Aliyev received the Chief of the US Armed Forces Joint Committee of Staff Chiefs Joseph Dunford.
As the President's website reported, during the meeting the successful development of bilateral relations was noted in the military, political, economic, defense and security sectors.
Dunford praised the participation of Azerbaijan in international peacekeeping operations, said the contribution of Baku to secure cargo to Afghanistan.
During the meeting they expressed the view that Dunford's visit will further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, and in general the development of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and the United States.
Dunford arrived in Baku for a meeting with the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov to be held today. -06D--
