Ilham Aliyev Receives Representative of US National Security Council
President Ilham Aliyev received the Senior Director for European Affairs, National Security Council Charles Kupchan.
During the meeting they discussed issues of bilateral relations in various spheres.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the partnership relations between the two countries in many spheres, and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the energy sector with the support of the United States.
There were discussed issues of combating international terrorism and security cooperation, the press service of the head of state reported.
According to the same source, the sides exchanged views on the running of democratic processes in Azerbaijan and their prospects.
During the meeting, they also discussed the situation in the region and issues related to the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
