Baku/09.05.23/Turan: President Ilham Aliyev took part in the opening ceremonies and laying the foundations of a number of socio-economic infrastructure and cultural facilities in Shusha on Tuesday.
Thus, with the participation of Aliyev, the opening of the Center for Innovative Technologies "Electric Networks of the City of Shusha" of JSC "Azerishyg" and the street Ataturk took place.
The head of state was also informed about the work to be performed in the streets of Karabakh and Sadygdjan. Also, Aliyev synbolically laid the foundation of an administrative building in Karabakh street.
Besides, the head of state opened the index signs at the intersection of Molla Panakh Vagif and Panakhali-khan streets.
Also, he visited the restored grave of the enlightener Mir Mohsun Navvab Karabagi in the glade of Cydyr-düzü.
Further, Aliyev took part in the opening ceremony of the Mehmandarovs' estate complex after restoration work in the city of Shusha. -06B-

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the visit of the President of Somalia to Baku "will open a new page in the close friendly relations" between the two countries. In a press statement after the negotiations, Aliyev noted that the leaders of both countries discussed the geopolitical situation in their regions and confirmed mutual support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan and Somalia, as well as a common stance in the fight against terrorism and extremism.

On February 12, the Baku Appeals Court rejected the appeal to transfer journalist Ramin Djebrailzade (Deko) to house arrest, according to his lawyer Nemat Kerimli. The "Union for the Freedom of Political Prisoners of Azerbaijan" has published an updated list of political prisoners, which includes 357 names. Compared to the previous list from December 12 last year, the number of political prisoners has increased by 26 individuals. Among them are journalists Farid Ismayilov, Shamshad Agha, Shahnaz Beylergizi, and 13 arrested during the unrest in Imishli, among others.
