Internet Censorship to Be Launched
The Electronic Security Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies appealed to the court with a demand to block several websites in Azerbaijan. The Ministry demands blocking of the websites azadliq.info, azadliq.org, azerbaycansaati.com, meydan.tv, Turan TV and the TV program Azerbaycan Saati. The notification of this was received from the Sabail court in the newspaper Azadliq, the publication of which was stopped.
The notice said that the claim of the above-mentioned body against the listed Internet resources was accepted for consideration.
The claim is connected with restriction of references to such Internet news resources as azadliq.info, azadliq.org, azerbaycansaati.com, meydan.tv, Turan TV and Azerbaycan Saati.
The hearing on this civil case is scheduled for April 27 at 11:20.
The suit will be considered under the chairmanship of Judge Nuraddin Baghirov. -0—
