Iran and Russia sign agreement amounting $40 billion to develop oil and gas fields
Baku/19.07.22/Turan:Mohsen Khojasteh Mehr, the General Director of the National Oil Company of Iran, called today's signing of a memorandum with Russian "Gazprom" the largest foreign investment in the history of the oil industry in Iran, "Tasnim" agency reported.
In particular, "Gazprom" will invest $10 billion in the development of the Kish and North Pars gas fields. This will increase the daily gas production in Iran up to 100 million cubic meters per day.
In addition, the parties signed an agreement on the development of six oil fields worth $15 billion.
The parties also agreed on the exchange of gas and oil products, as well as on investments in an enterprise for liquefied gas. The total volume of Russian investments under the agreements signed today will amount to $40 billion, "Tasnim" reports. --02D--
