Iranian Navy holds exercises in the Caspian Sea
The Iranian Navy on Tuesday conducted exercises in the Caspian Sea. The exercises took place at the Astara naval base on the evening of 12 August.
According to Iran's "Mehr" news agency, "conditional targets" were attacked during the exercises.
"The purpose of the exercises was to prepare the naval forces as much as possible," said Hamid Mousavi, deputy governor of Astara.
It is not reported what forces and means, as well as their number participated in the exercises.
Add that there is no naval base in Iran's Astara. There is just a small commercial port there.
According to the international law, Iran should have warned all coastal countries about the exercises.
