Iranian President on foreign policy priorities of his administration
The main foreign policy approach of the new administration will be the opening of new horizons and comprehensive expansion of friendly relations with other governments based on dialogue, cooperation, equality and mutual respect.
Iran's newly elected President Massoud Pezeshkian said this in response to phone calls and congratulatory telegrams from leaders and officials of more than 40 countries.
"The main approach of the new administration's foreign policy will be to open new horizons and comprehensively expand friendly relations with other governments based on dialogue, cooperation, equality and mutual respect," Pezeshkian said in a statement.
He noted that Iran's new administration is focusing on deepening comprehensive relations with neighboring and regional countries.
"We will advocate the establishment of a strong region, not one where one country seeks hegemony and dominance over others. I firmly believe that neighboring and brotherly countries should not waste their valuable resources on destructive competitions, arms race or unwarranted containment of each other. Instead, we will strive to create an environment in which our resources are directed towards the progress and development of the regional countries.
He pointed out that Iran looks forward to cooperating with Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and regional organizations to deepen economic ties, strengthen trade relations, promote joint investments, address common challenges and move towards establishing a regional framework for dialogue, confidence-building and development.

Он сказал, что с Россией останется прежний курс. И это главное! Можно быть спокойным, что он не ляжет под сша.
