Iran"s ambassador returned to Baku
The Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammad Bagher Bahrami returned to Baku on June 22 and took up his duties, the embassy spokesman Abbas Iskenderi told Turan.
Recall that the ambassador was recalled to Tehran on May 21 in response to the anti-Iranian campaign, during which "the religious Shiite shrines were offended," the embassy said in its statement.
In May, mass protest rallies were held opposite the Iranian embassy in Baku, during which derogatory slogans against the Iranian leadership were used. These actions came in response to similar actions in front of the consulate of Azerbaijan in Tabriz. Then the Iranians demanded that Baku should not carry out the Eurovision Song Contest. -03B-
