Israel abolishes visas for citizens of Georgia
Tbilisi/31.10.13/Turan-BS PRESS: The Government of Israel has decided to introduce a visa-free regime with Georgia, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Zeyev Elkin.
Elkin arrived in Georgia on an official visit, and was received by Foreign Minister, Maya Pandjikidze.
"The decision (to abolish the visa regime) has already been made, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Israel informed the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia. I received an official order to start formal negotiations on this issue," said Elkin.
" We see Georgia as a friendly country and an important partner. We have a great relationship. After the visit of the Prime Minister, we develop relations in many areas, and, of course, there must be a visa-free regime. Hopefully technical issues will be resolved soon, and we will prepare an agreement on visa-free regime between Georgia and Israel," said Elkin. There is a visa-free regime for the citizens of Israel to Georgia. Georgia has abolished visas for all EU countries and the USA. -02D-
