Israeli Embassy stopped issuing visas
Israeli embassies around the world stopped issuing visas due to a conflict with the Ministry of Finance of the country. "Due to the strike, was stopped accepting citizens in the consular department. As an exception will be considered the complaints of citizens related to emergency situations," reads the statement of the Israeli embassy.
The strike began on March 5. For a week diplomats go to work , but all contacts, preparation and organization of visits in Israel and abroad, including visits to the country's leadership have been frozen.
The action began after Israel's Ministry of Finance has not fulfilled the requirements of the Foreign Ministry to improve payment of diplomats. Negotiations between the parties were held for several months, but ended inconclusively in the spring of 2013. In June, the first strike and negotiations resumed.
Once the Finance Ministry failed second round of talks, diplomats resumed strike.
In a statement, the Israeli Foreign Ministry Staff Union notes that Israeli diplomats insist on "automatic increase in wages by increasing the cost of living, the termination of a discriminatory tax policy for spouses and children of diplomats."
The Israeli embassy in Baku confirmed Turan agency the act is of unlimited duration and how it will last is unknown. -02D-
