Karabakh separatist commander resigns
Baku/09.09.21/Turan: "Commander of the Karabakh forces" Mikael Arzumanyan resigned on Thursday, but the leader of Karabakh separatists Arayik Harutyunyan did not accept his resignation. Armenian media reported this on the evening of September 9. The reason for the resignation was not reported.
This information coincided with reports on Yerevan's plans to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan in the near future and to carry out border demarcation. This means the de facto recognition of Karabakh as the territory of Azerbaijan, which is opposed by radical forces in Armenia and Karabakh, including high-ranking military personnel.
From October 1, the opposition intends to start regular protests in Armenia against the plans of the Pashinyan government to normalize relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan.-02B-
