Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan welcome BTK
Baku / 30.10.17 / Turan: The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway (BTK) increases the logistics and transit capabilities of Kazakhstan in the Caspian. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev at the opening ceremony of the BTK. According to him, the BTK creates favorable opportunities for transporting goods from China to Europe, speeding up them twice. He noted that container shipments from China will be delivered through Kazakhstan and then through the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan and follow to Europe via BTK.
BTK is an important element of the East-West corridor, Uzbek Premier Abdulla Aripov said in turn. According to him, Uzbekistan is interested in transshipment of cargoes through this corridor, which will allow more efficient use of the country's economic opportunities. -06B-
