Kazakhstan Violates EEC Summit in Yerevan
The visit of Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev to Armenia will take place, but the summit of the Eurasian Economic Commission in Yerevan will not. This was reported by Arminfo referring to Russian diplomatic sources.
According to sources close to the Armenian authorities, the summit was canceled at the insistence of Kazakhstan, which believes that in the days of the escalating Karabakh conflict the summit in Yerevan could be seen as one-sided support of Armenia.
At the same time, RBC confirmed that the summit in Yerevan was canceled because of fears that its conduct may be considered as the promotion of one of the parties to the Karabakh conflict at the moment of escalation.
The EEC Summit, in which Yerevan was to be visited by the Russian Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev, was to be held on April 7-8. -02D-
