Leyla Abdullayeva presented copies of her credentials to French Foreign Ministry
Baku/19.11.22/Turan: The newly appointed Azerbaijani Ambassador to France, Leyla Abdullayeva, was received by the French Foreign Ministry.
She presented copies of her credentials to Bruno Bissone, the deputy state and diplomatic protocol service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Abdullayeva wrote about it on Twitter.
Abdullayeva's appointment comes amid tense relations between Baku and Paris over an anti-Azerbaijani resolution passed by the French Senate this week.
A note of protest was handed to the French Chargé d'Affaires ad interim in Azerbaijan on the occasion. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry and the Parliament adopted statements condemning the unilateral biased position of the French Senate.
