Mammadyarov: It Is Necessary to Establish Mechanism to Liberate Occupied Territories
Baku may consider establishing mechanisms to investigate incidents on the Karabakh front, if it does not justify the occupation of the Azerbaijani territories, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
"Establishment of a mechanism for investigation of incidents may be considered in the event that it would not serve the preservation of the status quo, which is not accepted by the Presidents of the co-chairmen (referring to the co-chair countries of OSCE Minsk Group - the US, France and Russia), and does not justify the occupation," Mammadyarov said, according to the state news agency AzerTaj.
The Minister stressed the need for a mechanism and a plan for the withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from the occupied Azerbaijani territories.
According to him, the cause of the marked "incidents" is the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia and the existence of the armed forces of this country in these areas. -06D--
