Meeting of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Somalia
On 12 February, President Ilham Aliyev received Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who arrived the previous day in Baku on an official visit. This is stated in the message on the website of the President of Azerbaijan.
Then a ceremony of signing of bilateral documents was held:
- Memorandum of Understanding on Co-operation in the Public Services between the State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovations (ASAN) and the Somalia Presidential Apparatus;
- Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Green Energy between the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Somalia;
- Agreement on Cooperation in the Education between the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education of Somalia.
- ‘Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia on Cooperation in the Defence and Defence Industry’
The two heads of state also made statements for the press.
