Meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia is expected Monday evening

The meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents in Vienna,  organized by the  head of the Foreign Ministers of the OSCE Minsk Group is expected on Monday evening. This follows from the statements by the representative of the European Union Federiki Mogernini and messages from the Russian and American media about the meeting in the morning between Sergei Lavrov and John Kerry. They will discuss the Syrian problem and issues arising from it, and then clarify the position on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. In the evening, Lavrov, Kerry and Foreign Minister of France, Jean-Marc Eyraud will hold a special meeting with the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia. Official Baku has not made any comments. It is not reported even if  Ilham Aliyev has left for Vienna, although the head of Armenia is already there  since  the morning. According to observers, the main topic will be discussed behind closed doors, to solve the application of the phased version of the settlement, as well as possible ways to determine the status of Karabakh. On today's results will largely depend on how events will  go on in Karabakh. Experts believe  unlikely  that Yerevan will agreed on a phased settlement, providing for the release of at least five regions around Karabakh. And if  it is not possible to convince Sargsyan in Vienna, we should expect another escalation on the front.
