Meeting of UK-Azerbaijan intergovernmental commission held
Baku/20.05.21/Turan: Today, May 20, Baku hosted the 4th meeting of the Joint Inter-governmental Commission between the governments of Great Britain and Azerbaijan.
According to the British Embassy in Azerbaijan, the meeting featured speeches by Graham Stewart, Minister for Exports, of the UK Department of International Trade, and Parviz Shahbazov, Energy Minister of Azerbaijan.
At the meeting the sides discussed the UK-Azerbaijan strategic partnership in the non-oil and gas economy.
"The UK and Azerbaijan have the potential to expand trade in healthcare, green energy, technology, finance and security," the statement said.
The embassy reports that the 4th meeting of the Joint Inter-governmental Commission between the UK and Azerbaijan concluded with the signing of a protocol on joint trade and economic priorities.
"The 4th meeting of the UK-Azerbaijan Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic co-operation was held today between Graham Stewart, Minister for Exports, of the UK Department of International Trade, and Parviz Shahbazov, Energy Minister of Azerbaijan.This creates excellent opportunities for cooperation in the areas of healthcare, green energy, finance and technology," said British Ambassador to Azerbaijan James Sharp. -03-
