Meeting Possible between Authorities and Opposition
This week a meeting between the opposition and the government is possible, an informed source told Turan.
This kind of meeting already took place on 13 December 2014. Then the initiative was made by several parties of the opposition camp.
The meeting was held with the head of the socio-political department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov.
From the opposition the initiators of this meeting were the Classic Popular Front Party, the Democratic Party, Umid, Azadlig, Aydinlar, Liberal, Boyuk Azerbaijan, and the Citizen and Development parties. The meeting was also attended by parties, which did not initiate it: Boyuk Gurulush, the United Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, and representatives of the Communist Party.
It is expected that the new meeting will take place in a broader format with the participation of the leadership of the party Musavat.
The first meeting discussed topics of social and political life of the country, human rights, and arrests of the third sector.
The Popular Front Party did not participate in the first meeting, considering it meaningless and formal. -05D04-
