Russia’s Special Forces of Intelligence and the Defense Ministry began exercises in the regions of Volgograd, Stavropol, Chechnya, Dagestan, Adygea, Karachay-Cherkessia and North Ossetia. In Crimea the exercises of the Black Sea Fleet started.
The exercises involve the military intelligence and special units, Interfax reported. That's about 2,000 soldiers and more than 200 pieces of weapons, military and special equipment.
Within a month, the scouts will improve field training at seven sites in Volgograd, Stavropol, Chechnya, Dagestan, Adygea, Karachay-Cherkessia and North Ossetia, told the agency.
Particular attention will be paid to the practical application of close intelligence stations SBR-3. The equipment can detect infantry, weapons and military equipment of the enemy in the absence of visibility at a distance of up to 3,000 m.
At the exercises the scouts will learn modernized compact navigation devices for personal use Grotto-M on the platform of the GLONASS system. -02D-
