Mehman Huseynov Did Not Win Municipal Elections - CEC (updated)
Baku / 24.12.19 / Turan: According to official information on the CEC website, blogger Mehman Huseynov has not been elected a member of the municipality of the 31st Second Surakhani District. His name is not among the 17 people who, according to the CEC, gained a greater number of votes.

Blogger Mehman Huseynov Announces Victory in Municipal Elections
Baku /23.12.19 / Turan: Blogger Mehman Huseynov, who ran for local elections to the municipal council of the Garachukhur village on Monday, said he was among the leaders in the vote count.
He wrote about this on his page in Facebook.
According to Huseynov, in at least 7 out of 37 polling stations he takes the first place by a wide margin from other candidates.
According to information from Huseynov’s observers, he also scored the majority of votes in many other polling stations, the results of which have not yet been officially recorded in the protocols.
In municipal elections, the number of candidates with the highest number of votes and the number of seats in a given municipal council is considered to be the winner.
The CEC will summarize the official results within 5 days.
Meanwhile, public activist Rabiya Mammadova, who is running for the municipal council of the Binagadi village of Baku, announced massive falsifications in her constituency and the removal of observers in the vote count. --- 06D-
