Mehriban Aliyeva promised to justify the confidence of the head of state
«I believe that I once again will justify the confidence of the President Ilham Aliyev and all who believes me," said Mehriban Aliyeva at the meeting of the Security Council during the appointment of its vice-president. "Dear Mr. President, I am deeply grateful for the confidence in me. I am fully aware of the seriousness of the responsibility entrusted to me, and I believe that I can justify your confidence, Mr. President," she said, referring to her husband. She further said that Ilham Aliyev's policy has always been "an example" for her. "We are proud that we were able to make at least a contribution to the ongoing positive tendencies in recent years in our country, development, improvement of Azerbaijan's authority in the international arena", she said.
Prior to this, Ilham Aliyev presented his wife as the first vice-president of the country and said that for many years she has played an important role in the country. Being a member of parliament, she played a major role in solving social and economic problems of their district. Since 2004 she is the president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which evolved into the largest and most authoritative non-governmental organization of Azerbaijan, which has carried out numerous social and cultural projects, said Ilham Aliyev. From the speeches of Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Aliyeva it is not clear which areas will be in charge of the first vice-president of the country. -02D-
