Military and intelligence agencies of the CIS will work together to train specialists on anti-terrorism
The Council of CIS Defense Ministers at a meeting in Moscow today summed up the results of activity in 2013, and approved the work plan for the next year, ITAR-TASS reported.
"We attach particular importance to the improvement of joint military systems," said the head of the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu. The participants of the meeting approved the plan of a joint actions united air defense system in 2014.
Measures have also been identified for the development and improvement of the combined system of monitoring and evaluation of radiation, chemical and biological conditions, a unified system of state radar identification of "password", the system of exchange of information on aviation security, the mechanisms of interaction of engineering troops and military meteorologists, said Shoigu.
The ministers decided to establish jointly with the security and intelligence services of the CIS, training in counterterrorism.
Shoigu reported that bilateral "meaningful and productive meetings" with the defense ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan , Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan were held. They discussed issues of military and military-technical cooperation.-16D99-

Journalist Nargiz Abaslamova, held in Baku's Detention Center No. 1, was subjected to violence by a guard. While passing by the cell of her colleague Sevinj Vagifgizi, Abaslamova tried to greet her, reported on Abzas Media's Facebook page. However, guard Aygul Babaeva forcibly dragged Abaslamova away and deeply scratched the journalist's arm. Abaslamova stated that this is not the first time the mentioned guard has used force and been rude to journalists. A few days ago, Babaeva also used force against Sevinj Vagifgizi.
