Military equipment is being delivered to territories controlled by Russian peacekeepers - deputy head of the State Security Service
Baku/24.11.22/Turan: The normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan is hindered by the active revanchist forces in Armenia, the militarization of this country and the purchase of weapons in excess of the financial capacity, all delays in the signing of a peace treaty. The deputy head of the Azerbaijani State Security Service, Ceyhun Shadlinsky, stated this at a conference organised by the Azerbaijani Security Council on Thursday.
The Security Council of the country reports that Shadlinsky also noted the facts of "arms transportation across the territory where Russian peacekeepers are deployed, creation of conditions for military provocations".
The deputy head of the Security Service also spoke about measures to suppress intelligence-subversive activities of the Iranian special services against Azerbaijan.
In turn, Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov spoke about reforms carried out after the Second Karabakh war to strengthen the military potential of the Azerbaijani armed forces, create new military units, equip the army with modern military hardware and equipment.
