Ministry of Foreign Affairs Receives Delegation of Parliament of Italy
The Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the Chairman of the Standing Committee on European Affairs of the Italian Parliament Vanino Kitty and members of his delegation.
As stated by the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the meeting discussed a wide range of issues concerning the bilateral relations and contacts between the European Union and Azerbaijan, and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Senator Kitty called Azerbaijan an important partner for Italy and the European Union as a whole. The energy projects TANAP and TAP, as well as the Southern Gas Corridor as a whole, have strategic importance for Italy and the European Union, he said.
The meeting also touched upon other issues of mutual interest. -02D-
