Mirzoyan confirmed Armenia's readiness for a complete settlement of relations with Turkey
Baku/15.02.23/Turan: Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan confirmed Armenia's readiness and desire for a complete settlement of relations with Turkey, the establishment of diplomatic relations and the full opening of the border between Armenia and Turkey, "Armenpress" reported. Mirzoyan made this statement after a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Ankara.
“Our meeting today is due to a catastrophe that claimed many lives, but being in Turkey at this difficult moment, I once again want to confirm Armenia’s readiness and desire to build peace in the region, and in particular, to fully normalize relations with Turkey, establish diplomatic relations and full opening of the border between Armenia and Turkey. Today we discussed some details of this process, we have an agreement to jointly restore the Ani bridge, and take care of the relevant infrastructure on the eve of the full opening of the border,” Ararat Mirzoyan said.
Cavusoglu expressed hope that solidarity in the humanitarian sphere "will become an impetus for the process of normalizing relations in the South Caucasus." “Advances in Armenia's dialogue with Turkey and Azerbaijan will contribute to stability in the region.
