M.Mard: dialogue on democracy should be open
Issues of democracy, human rights and the rule of law are always on the agenda of relations between the EU and Azerbaijan and are subject to high-level dialogue. This was stated by the head of the EU Delegation in Baku, Malena Mard, at the presentation of grants to support civil society, responding to Turan's question about EU actions in the light of tightening legislation and harassment of civil society activists in Azerbaijan.
According to Mard, another round of EU consultations with the Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev was held last month. She noted that the dialogue " has to be sincere and open."--0--
