Musavat Calls on OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to Refuse to Support Armenia
Baku / 27.10.20 / Turan: The opposition Musavat Party strongly condemned diplomatic pressure against Azerbaijan, in particular, the position of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing states.
The message distributed following the results of the party's meeting on October 26 notes that the military operations conducted by the Azerbaijani army in order to ensure the country's territorial integrity are fully consistent with international law and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions. In these conditions, the attempts of the co-chairs to prevent the successful operation are regarded as support for the occupation policy of Armenia.
The Musavat party calls on the mediators - the United States, Russia and France - to take a neutral position in the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict, or to abandon the co-chairmanship in the OSCE Minsk Group.
Musavat expresses concern over reports of arms supplies to Armenia from Russia and Iran, and requires clarification from both states.
The report notes that hundreds of party members and their children are participating in the battles for the liberation of the occupied territories at the front. Work continues on organizing donations to the Azerbaijan Armed Forces Assistance Fund from the party members. — 0—
