NATO Secretary-General calls on Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on Russia to withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine, and to promote peaceful resolution of the situation in the east of the country, said Stoltenberg on Tuesday, November 18 before the meeting with defense ministers of the EU member states in Brussels.
According to Stoltenberg, Russia continues to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. "We see the movement of troops, military vehicles, tanks, artillery, air defense systems," - said the secretary general of NATO, adding that this is happening, both in Ukraine and along the border with Russia.
He noted that the alliance have snapshots confirming these data, as well as the evidence provided by independent journalists and observers of the OSCE.
Stoltenberg stressed that such actions by Russia violate all previous agreements, the dpa reports.-02D-
