New Building of Armed Forces General Staff
On the day of the Armed Forces, the President participated in the opening ceremony of a new administrative building of the General Staff of the armed forces of the country, located in the complex of the Ministry of Defense.
In the building of the General Staff there are six floors with a total area of 12,600 square meters. The rooms are equipped with modern facilities.
The point planning and managing daily activities of the military forces can engage 140 people simultaneously.
The central command center collects and analyzes data on the operational conditions, monitors the process of preparing troops for combat, controls troops during the preparation and in the course of combat activities, exchanges various data and organizes video conferences with other control points, and transmits video information.
The Head of State was shown images obtained from unmanned aircraft and a balloon carrying out aerial reconnaissance deep in the enemy's rear.

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times.
