New European Commissioner for Energy Visits Baku
Mr. Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Energy Union, will travel to Kazakhstan and later to Azerbaijan to meet the President and members of the government on the Southern Gas Corridor 26-28 / 11.
As Turan was told in the EU office in Azerbaijan, the purpose of the visit is to discuss issues related to implementation of the project Southern Gas Corridor.
The negotiations with the Azerbaijani leadership will be held after similar consultations on November 26 in Kazakhstan.
The Southern Gas Corridor involves pumping Azerbaijani gas to Europe through three pipelines - the South Caucasus, TANAP (Trans-Anatolian) and TAP (Trans-Adriatic). -16D-
