New Rapporteur of the Monitoring Committee to visit Azerbaijan in February
Strasbourg/13.10.22/Turan: Norwegian MP Liz Kristoffersen, who was elected the co-rapporteur of the PACE Monitoring Committee on Azerbaijan the day before, plans to visit Baku next year.
“Together with my colleague, another co-rapporteur, I plan to visit Azerbaijan in February next year. During the trip, meetings will with officials, deputies, as well as with civil society and the media are planned. She also plans to meet with Azerbaijani citizens who have left the country.
The focus will be on issues of democracy, human rights, freedom of the press, expression and others,” she said in an interview with Turan.
Liz Kristoffersen noted that she has experience as a rapporteur and has already done such work on Moldova and Macedonia. --16B--
