On 2 May Armenia will elect a new prime minister
Yerevan / 24.04.18 / Turan: Deputy Chairman of the Armenian Parliamentary Committee on State and Legal Affairs Rustam Makhmudyan stated that the elections of the new Prime Minister of the country will be held on May 2, RIA Novosti reports. "Parliamentary factions will propose candidates for the post of prime minister within seven days. And then the head of the government will be elected at the parliament session. This should happen on May 2," Mahmudyan said.
According to the supporters of the leader of the protest movement Nikol Pashinian, he intends to nominate his candidacy for the post of head of the interim government. The Armenian government resigned on April 23, the deadline for nomination expires on May 1, the cabinet of ministers should be formed within 15 days after the appointment of the prime minister. -02D-
